 Working from April 1st 2009 to 31 October 2009 the international  specialist and volunteer team (anthropological specialists as well as just fans of history)  will participate in the project ( they will carry out narrative interviews with occupants of  the Chernivtsi, and the neighbouring localities, and emigrants,  while assembling as well as  documenting the family archives and the souvenirs), which will effect in the creation of multidimensional "painting" of memory. The creation of "topography of memory" will be the important element of project  - seizing memmories in reference to concrete urban-planning of the town of Chernivtsi. On basis of gathered photographic  and written records, lists and memmories, there will be a publication (translated into 3 languages) as well as an exhibition which will be showed in Chernivtsi, Lviv and Warsaw.

 

The purpose of the project is the initiation of dialogue  on importance of Chernivtsi and Bukowina in context of European heritage as well as unreeling of the cultural consciousness (of generations) among countries of EU and Ukraine.
